Our brilliant team has created two powerful symbols allowing our message to bleed through within our animal imagery: the butterfly and the elephant.
Through these animals, we aim to emphasise our connection to nature and the importance of sustainability, while also demarcating menstruation's natural role - one that no one should ever feel ashamed of. We aim to challenge the shame and stigma that so often surrounds this topic.
The Butterfly
Butterflies represent transformation and metamorphosis. From caterpillar to butterfly, this journey symbolises growth and change. We want women to feel empowered to spread their wings and have the freedom to fly and pursue their dreams. We hope to communicate our message of hope and positive change that emerges when individuals are supported and encouraged.
The Elephant
Elephants symbolise strength and power, demonstrating remarkable endurance and resilience. This reflects how women have consistently carried immense burdens - emotionally, socially and physically - whilst continuing to move forward with determination. Like elephants, women display resilience and strength, supporting others while navigating life's obstacles.
Elephants are also deeply social animals that protect their herd and foster a strong sense of community. Here, we aim to highlight the importance of unity among women. Just as elephants never leave a member of their herd behind, women have long relied on unity to survive hardship.
Additionally, elephants have been hunted and exploited for centuries, reflecting how women have been undervalued and harmed throughout history. As a result, the elephant becomes a symbol of not only wisdom and resilience but also the ongoing fight for safety, respect and the right to exist without fear.
The pairing of mugs and elephants symbolises connection and support, and the idea that no one should have to face difficulty alone. Strength is greater when we stand together.
Important Elements
Our brand intentionally avoids the use of floral imagery. Many children who have experienced sexual abuse use euphemisms - often referencing flowers - to describe their genitals. This language can make disclosure more difficult, particularly in legal and safeguarding contexts where clear literal terminology is required.
As a group we believe it is vital that children understand and feel comfortable using scientific and anatomically correct terminology, so we refrain from using florals. This knowledge empowers them to recognise inappropriate behaviour, set boundaries and seek help.
Furthermore, using these nicknames can unintentionally increase vulnerability. By encouraging openness and accuracy, we create a culture where children feel safer and more confident expressing themselves. By normalising proper terminology, we hope to destigmatise the use of anatomically accurate language and allow a society that is based on openness and understanding.
Brand colours
Pink is our primary colour that is reflected from our logo to our mug designs. It symbolises warmth, compassion and femininity, aligning with our mission to empower women and celebrating their strength. Purple serves as our secondary colour, symbolising wisdom, dignity and power, conveying connotations of confidence and individuality.
